An open lecture on why the gap between capability and governance widens rather than closes, and what closing it would actually involve.

The lecture sets out the argument at the centre of our vision document: that the distance between what we can build and what we can govern is not a temporary lag but a structural condition, and that it widens on its own because capability compounds and deliberation does not.
Question session
Half the scheduled time is questions. We would rather take a difficult question from someone who disagrees than a supportive one, and the chair is briefed accordingly.
