Workshop: Integrated ethics assignments for technical faculty
A practical day for lecturers in engineering and computing: taking our assignment material and adapting it to your own module by the end of the session.
A working day for technical faculty, not for ethicists. Participants leave with adapted material ready to run in their own module next term.
Structure
- Morning: why standalone modules teach the wrong structural lesson, and what integration looks like in a data structures or systems design brief.
- Afternoon: participants adapt one of our assignments to their own course, with marking rubric, in facilitated small groups.
Requirements
Bring a module you actually teach and its assessment structure. The session is useless in the abstract.
